Sending large files for free

1. micromoth4 January 2011, 13:20 GMT +01:00

Dear All,
Does anyone have a recommendation for a free way of sending files that are larger than the limit for email attachments (usually about 10Mb)?
In the past I have used Drop.io, but this free service is being curtailed because they are being subsumed into Facebook.
There are of course plenty of options if one is willing to pay, and there are several mediocre free options, but good free options seem to be very rare.
I've come across Zoomfoot (see http://www.zoomfoot.com/) which does seem very good, but I wonder if anyone is aware of something even better?

Give "Zeta Uploader" a try. It couldn't be any simpler. Use it on-line or as a download. http://www.zeta-uploader.com/en/

"Send large Files online for free
Simply enter a file and an e-mail address, we will send the download link to the receiver"

@3 I've tried sending files using TransferBigFiles. It's okay, but rather cluttered, and hence not easy for someone receiving it who is not tech-savvy to understand.
@2 Zeta Uploader looks interesting; I've not come across this before. Will give it a try, thanks!
I'd be interested to know what you both think of Zoomfoot.
Cheers,
Micromoth

Here's another new one that looks good, You Send It:

Has anyone tried this?
