Yeah yippee ... the downloads are going really well today ! ;o)

2. weirdvis6 May 2010, 8:20 GMT +02:00

Yeah, probably linked to the increased influx of new members over the last few days. :D

3. Zela6 May 2010, 10:27 GMT +02:00

I'm over 1000 downloads ;-) I also noticed the increased number of downloads last days. Nice!

Congratulation Marja!

The party has started at rgbstock!! :)

6. mzacha6 May 2010, 15:21 GMT +02:00

And Lusi is amazing. 800 downloads in just four days, if I am not wrong! :)

7. Abyla7 May 2010, 13:24 GMT +02:00

What's the matter today ?
Four, five or more downloads of the same image in a moment ?

8. crisderaud7 May 2010, 14:37 GMT +02:00

I have already sent in a request to investigate. It may be just a glitch in the site code. Let's wait to find out before we get suspicious.

The person downloading the photos was using a download accelerator that most likely was only after one copy but the download manager automatically tries several download paths looking for the fastest one.

They are looking into it as this download manager is very popular worldwide and the site is likely to see it again.

Probably nothing funny going on with the person downloading but the software works automatically. They have to find out how it works so they know what to do to stop it the next time someone on this site has the software installed.

That person has altered the most popular photos list, are the repeated downloads going to be deleted ?

11. saavem13 May 2010, 7:51 GMT +02:00

I noticed it too!. I agree Javier

12. decar6613 May 2010, 15:57 GMT +02:00

Is there a way to fix those repeated downloads from the same images?

13. lennie13 May 2010, 17:34 GMT +02:00

I think Jay fixed the problem. It's still possible you'll see the same image downloaded, but should be a different person or the same person which just opened his browser again.

I'll let Jay make a formal statement about it. :-)

Another question, is there a limit of downloads per day and user ?

15. lennie13 May 2010, 19:17 GMT +02:00

The limits are the server, network and the users internet connection. We haven't set any limits.

Thanks, lennie.

@13 formal statement ;)

Here it is: yes.

No repeated downloads for the same image will be count.
I changed some code and I think it is OK now. But I can't test it very well. So lets wait and see.
