You are a quality contributor and your images are greatly appreciated, John. Thanks. :D

John, you have a wonderful gallery. Good to see all those images!

29. krayker4 March 2010, 10:52 GMT +01:00

Great gallery John, the 30k mark came closer in one swoop :)

Thank you very very much for your too nice words - and also for the possibility of writting something in a forum without getting a padlock in my neck or the "smile or leave"-stick pointed at me. You know......

31. weirdvis4 March 2010, 12:50 GMT +01:00

Yeah, we know.. We will be sticking to the old rules. The ones that don't include evil locks of doom and obsessive control.

32. lennie4 March 2010, 23:01 GMT +01:00

First of all, I would like to say, we now have 200 photographers an other milestone.

Also, their is no code currently to do padlocks and we don't expect to have to add it anytime soon. ;-)

33. xymonau4 March 2010, 23:40 GMT +01:00

No "smile or leave" sticks here. Just my pointy one. :o)

34. johnnyberg5 March 2010, 0:10 GMT +01:00

well - as long as you can handle a reply; you can point as much as you like :-)

My skin is as thick as an elephant's. You can say what you like. The only reason we would close an account would be for harassment issues or illegal activity. There might be others we haven't thought of yet, but if you can't have a good knock-down, drag out argufyment with someone, then it's a pretty poor place.

congratulations to Lusi for clocking the 1000th download.
It's past 1100 now, but I only noticed it now!

37. crisderaud12 March 2010, 14:42 GMT +01:00

Lusi knows how to stay on top!

38. saavem12 March 2010, 15:20 GMT +01:00

Congrats Lusi!
Dez, you are the next
:)

39. mzacha12 March 2010, 15:31 GMT +01:00

Lusi is unbeatable ;)

40. weirdvis12 March 2010, 16:25 GMT +01:00

No way can you keep Lusi down. She's a credit to us. :D

41. GerbenVanErkelens12 March 2010, 20:25 GMT +01:00

Yup, that ship has long sailed :D

42. xymonau13 March 2010, 9:54 GMT +01:00

Congratulations, Lusi! Her stock just goes like hotcakes.

43. melodi213 March 2010, 10:16 GMT +01:00

Lusi is an inspiration. I love her vibrant work.

44. krayker13 March 2010, 14:17 GMT +01:00

yeah, good work, she rightly heads the pack! I'm a bit keen to know how the downloads will shape up - it all depends on requirements and the kind of people who come in looking for images that suit them. interesting times. who says change isnt good ? sxc was getting a bit static and boring... we have a dynamic and vibrant community with fresh purpose!

@ sxc, I was a bit shy and had stayed away from the forums. even though I used to hang around since its very beginning, I hadn't signed up until much later, and then too, I was pretty quiet. I had known cris (and a few others) and had exchanged a few emails, not much beyond! Now, I have a lot of friends here (even though you were all from the same old place :)

45. xymonau13 March 2010, 14:42 GMT +01:00

Yes, it has been excellent to see people posting here. I think there are many people who will feel a bit more free in this new environment. After all, we're all pioneers!

46. crisderaud13 March 2010, 18:29 GMT +01:00

The sky is the limit!!

47. weirdvis14 March 2010, 9:17 GMT +01:00

Nah, the sky is small potatoes. Imagination is the limit. And we all know that imagination has no limits...

48. krayker16 March 2010, 3:26 GMT +01:00

congratulations Dez.... second on the list to make one thousand downloads! hmm, the soup's inviting I must concede!

49. xymonau16 March 2010, 3:32 GMT +01:00

LOL Well, Kray, if you are the one that gave me the one download I needed, then you don't have to eat the soup! LOL My total sat on 999 all morning.

Isn't it funny how such small numbers feel so huge right now? If I got only that many in a day, I used to wonder what was wrong! But a thousand downloads here are worth all the downloads elsewhere. I feel like painting my face blue and crying, "Freedom!"
