No Dezzie i had to have a opp for the little blighters, they showed me them after i couldn't believe what the actually look like, Originally i had one large one in my left kidney and a small one in my right, the large one was broken into smaller pieces and removed via a long cable with a basket on the end through a man's pride n joy, as was the one in my right kidney, after when i seen them i could understand why i was in pain with them, they where like jagged glass, they said that they would have been round but with these crystal like formations around them,,anyway as soon as they where removed the pain was gone and my kidney started working properly, i have not had them since,,knock on wood :O)

OUCH! Thank goodness they never came back.

I have one question, though. How on earth did they get them out through your remote control for the telly??!!

436. happyture7 March 2012, 14:46 GMT +01:00

I read up on the lithotripter treatment for them. No way would I ever have that. I'm too fat, anyway, but it can cause permanent kidney damage. I think some things become fads. They will have to chop me up if it ever has to come out. Hopefully it won't.

438. happyture8 March 2012, 13:26 GMT +01:00

if it aint causing any problems leave them well alone :O)

439. xymonau8 March 2012, 15:00 GMT +01:00

440. happyture9 March 2012, 9:35 GMT +01:00

441. xymonau10 March 2012, 9:59 GMT +01:00

Yes, if you don't eat a lot of fruit and veg then you have to have more water. Particularly for kidney stone prevention. It's a cheap medecine.

442. happyture11 March 2012, 23:35 GMT +01:00

Tap water tastes like Pi** here, hard water,,nasty even the fish complain :O(

443. xymonau12 March 2012, 3:53 GMT +01:00

Yes, some places have awful water. I buy bottled now that they have fluoridated our perfectly good stuff. I'll still drink it if I have to, but I figure if I generally avoid it, it will do less harm. Fluoride is the major ingredient in psychiatric medication and crop sprays.

444. happyture14 March 2012, 8:42 GMT +01:00

Nasty stuff and tastes vile, surely theres a much easier better tasting way of keeping the water fresh...

445. xymonau14 March 2012, 9:19 GMT +01:00

Tank water is wonderful. Rainwater with just a hint of bird droppings.

446. happyture14 March 2012, 9:47 GMT +01:00

Natures own, never done us any harm the first 250,000 years, we got through the last ice age with the stuff so a few bird droppings are maybe beneficial in one way or another..

447. xymonau14 March 2012, 12:07 GMT +01:00

I said a hint, I meant a hint. If you want to go and eat them, well, it takes all kinds.

448. happyture14 March 2012, 13:02 GMT +01:00

450. happyture14 March 2012, 13:09 GMT +01:00

I ran away from home when i was very young, and ended up stopping by a tip/garbage dump, hungry and cold i went about looking for food, what i found was a blackbirds nest with 4 eggs in it, i took then and cooked them on a old rusty pint tin lid, believe it or not they was darn tasty, think the rust flakes added extra taste..true story :O)

Well, that's no so bad. Quite industrious, too.

My mother used to tell the story of when she was about 5 years old, and her mother was pregnant and too sick to get up one day. Mum thought she would help her by making her some food. So she went outside and killed a chicken by bashing it with a broom. Then she plopped it feathers and all in a pot of hot water and told her mother she was making her some soup. I always cringed at the thought of the poor chicken, but that's what a little kid would do. (This was around 1918 or so, so killing your own animals for food was a common thing.)

452. happyture14 March 2012, 16:13 GMT +01:00

AHHHH, gut n all,,,feet n head on,,,ahhh bet it tasted divine...

453. xymonau14 March 2012, 16:16 GMT +01:00

Her mother told her she was a good girl. I'm not sure how she got around not eating it. LOL

454. happyture14 March 2012, 23:51 GMT +01:00

455. xymonau15 March 2012, 12:40 GMT +01:00

And they need to be encouraged to make food while they're little, even with the mess, or they end up useless as adults.

456. happyture17 March 2012, 10:01 GMT +01:00

tizz right dezzie, i think its good for him to be able to do it himself, they all play hell with me cuz he makes such a mess but i find it funny watching him,,he acts all grown up as his splobs butter n jam everywhere :O)

457. xymonau17 March 2012, 10:38 GMT +01:00

Good for him. My grandkids love breaking eggs. Whenever they stay with me, it has to be eggs for breakfast. I sit them on newspaper on the floor (they still manage to get it everywhere) and give them an egg at a time, and a little glass to break it into. Then they tip it into a bowl and mix it up. I let them pour it into the warm frypan. They are always so proud of doing it. They say their Mum doesn't let them break eggs. I can see why! LOL I also let them sit on the kitchen benches, if there's room.
