4 Letter Words

You can only change ONE letter, AND/OR rearrange the letters currently available. The first word is:

WINS

6914. xymonau8 May 2012, 12:29 GMT +02:00

on the contrary! we

skim

over snow and struggle through the mist like everyone else. just not this far north.

6915. Ayla878 May 2012, 12:35 GMT +02:00

your interesting continent is still a challenge for my imagination, but it it a little bit far to

swim

by for a visit

6916. xymonau8 May 2012, 13:12 GMT +02:00

you need to have a few

wins

in the lottery, and then you can fly. We certainly do have some unique places, like every country, but most of us live dead boring ordinary lives in the western manner, and never get out to the outback or exotic places. Nowhere is exotic if you live there! LOL

6917. Ayla878 May 2012, 13:51 GMT +02:00

lots of

wind

to make such a flight shorter would also be necessary. I find it quite hard to sit in a plane for more than one or two hours. But you are so right, we get used to even the most astonishing beauties of nature if we see them every day.

6918. xymonau8 May 2012, 15:07 GMT +02:00

or you could

wend

your way here by sea - the scenic route

6919. micromoth8 May 2012, 20:07 GMT +02:00

Ah, to the

ends

of the earth. What adventure!

6920. Groningen8 May 2012, 20:53 GMT +02:00

Excuse me but a sphere has no end(s)!!!!

Mend

your geographical knowledge, or suffer the consequences.
You wouldn't want to fall off would you?

6921. Ayla879 May 2012, 6:15 GMT +02:00

you better don't

send

me to look for the end of the world, it may take quite a while till i'm back and find the time for more 4LWs

6922. xymonau9 May 2012, 12:58 GMT +02:00

only the

sane

realise the world has no ends

6923. Ayla879 May 2012, 13:22 GMT +02:00

I'll take that as a compliment and hurry on to

save

the world (did i mention that i work in the local government office for the protection of the environment?)

6924. xymonau9 May 2012, 13:41 GMT +02:00

do you really? I

aver

the importance of that job!

6925. Ayla879 May 2012, 13:44 GMT +02:00

Indeed I

have

the chance to help hundreds of people every year suffering from noise or air pollution from all kinds of businesses in their neighborhood. A very satisfying job.

6926. xymonau9 May 2012, 14:15 GMT +02:00

blessings be upon your

head

for such a useful job!

6927. Ayla879 May 2012, 14:32 GMT +02:00

It pays our

shed

and is not the worst way to spend your day, that's true. And I can make websites, too, on environmental protection on Berlin.de, which actually is what brought me to stock photography. I was no photographer before and still haven't learned it professionally in any way, just learning by doing. But making nicely colourful websites often feels like getting paid for your hobby. I consider myself quite lucky this way.

6928. micromoth9 May 2012, 21:39 GMT +02:00

What a nice way to earn some

dosh

Perhaps enough to pay for a trip to the ends of the earth (yes, Christine, I know there aren't really ends, but it's a nice expression).

6929. gesinek9 May 2012, 23:19 GMT +02:00

Perhaps you meet

Posh

Spice at the end of the world. Eeehhhh, earth.

6930. Ayla8710 May 2012, 6:13 GMT +02:00

maybe it is there just like at most of the partys. You are always surprised who

pops

up

6931. micromoth10 May 2012, 6:40 GMT +02:00

What celebrities do you think you would

spot

at the ends of the earth? And, LOL, which ones would you pay to stay there?

6932. Ayla8710 May 2012, 6:47 GMT +02:00

when you ask a celeb, it is impossible to spot any of them at world's end, because wherever they are is the centre of the world, of course. But the idea is funny indeed, to

sort

out who should better stay in the dark. And why do we think it is dark there? No one there to pay the light bill? I find it easier to tell which ones I won't pay to stay away from me. The next concert I've bought a ticket for (quite a few months away) will be Jeff Wayne's new Musical Version of "The War of the Worlds".

6933. xymonau10 May 2012, 11:26 GMT +02:00

I'd like to dip my

toes

in the water at the ends of the earth with Matt Damon *sigh*

6934. Ayla8710 May 2012, 11:34 GMT +02:00

Good that in your concept you speak of a plural as far as the ends are concerned. You must

test

the details, but I would expect that with 20 toes to dip and play around with that would sound fitting. Enough toes for every end.

6935. xymonau10 May 2012, 11:48 GMT +02:00

the one

stat

I can be sure of is my heart rate should this ever happen. I feel certain Matt's would not be changed at all, except when executing his rapid escape! :-(

6936. Ayla8710 May 2012, 12:30 GMT +02:00

I have the strong feeling

that

you are too avidly hiding your light under a bushel

6937. micromoth10 May 2012, 13:05 GMT +02:00

What

would it take to remove the bushel?
