What are you celebrating today?

Always a popular thread at the other place.

I'll kick this one off.

It was my birthday the other day. I was expecting a bottle of my favourite perfume (I've been dropping hints I was running low) and woke up to a Land Rover Freelander on the drive. I've always wanted a 4x4 and now I've finally got one courtesy of my Mum and my Significant Other Half.

Okay, so it's not a new one and it's not an all singing, all dancing model, but that doesn't bother me. It's a freaking Freelander, dudes!

Mine's a white soft top like the one in the foreground.

Downside - I'll have to fund my own bottle of smellies. Oh hold on - there's Mother's Day coming up...

Great stuff, Christine! Keep uploading. You'll be famous in no time.

The swirly tree is the most popular photo right now and it is a nice one.

Great Lynne ! It's also a great swirly tree ! ;o)

Thanks guys. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I've overtaken the Lime. I didn't think it was possible given the huge lead the image has over at the (whispers) other place. Let's face it, Martin's lime is the stock image di tutti stock images. I suspect the lead will change back when this site really takes off - which is coming pretty quickly now. Meanwhile I'll enjoy the pic pole position because there's not a hope in hell that I'll catch up to Sanja, Dez and Billy downloads-wise. I do have my beady eyes on 7th place though...

:D

81. gesinek3 May 2011, 17:19 GMT +02:00

I love that tree too. Enjoy the leadership :-)

82. mzacha3 May 2011, 23:11 GMT +02:00

10,000 downloads for me ;P

83. weirdvis4 May 2011, 0:49 GMT +02:00

Congrats, Michal. :D

84. jazza4 May 2011, 8:26 GMT +02:00

Your beady eyes on place seven? I don't think so Lynne, no way.
You forget I have magic powers The lucky seven in mine and mine alone ;)

please read my magic formula:
if (jazza!=7) jazza = 7;

85. xymonau4 May 2011, 10:09 GMT +02:00

Oh, anyone can catch up. It just depends on what people are looking for. But to beat the lime - well, that is an honour!

Jay is using magic to stay in his place? Is that cheating? ;)

86. xymonau4 May 2011, 13:24 GMT +02:00

Michal, Congratulations!

87. Groningen4 May 2011, 17:43 GMT +02:00

wow, congratulations
there are now 4 rgbstock-ers with more then 10k downloads

88. weirdvis4 May 2011, 20:40 GMT +02:00

@84. No worries Jay. I'll simply head for 6 instead. Evil laff.

@87. That's because we've all got a 12 month head start on you, Christine. With a good quality gallery like yours you'll catch us up pretty fast as new members sign up and find your images. And of course, the more you upload the more choice you give and the more downloads you'll get. You're off to a good start. :0)

89. Groningen5 May 2011, 1:06 GMT +02:00

91. weirdvis6 May 2011, 12:37 GMT +02:00

It's a terrific image, Phil. Kudos!

92. xymonau14 May 2011, 9:49 GMT +02:00

Phil, I am green with envy. Well done! And it is an excellent image.

93. xymonau14 May 2011, 9:54 GMT +02:00

I am celebrating the beginning of a Diploma in Community Services Coordination - I think! I am off to Brisbane for four nights, and I am a bit nervous. It has been a lot of years since I last studied, and I don't know if I can retain anything these days. However, I am looking forward to it, and also to being away from the workplace for a few days.

94. weirdvis14 May 2011, 10:27 GMT +02:00

You have a sharp mind, Dez. You'll do okay. :0)

95. iikozen15 May 2011, 16:54 GMT +02:00

Community Services Coordination. Yes!
I bet you will learn whatever is there to be learneds and teach them even more.
You go girl! :)

96. Gramps16 May 2011, 7:53 GMT +02:00

97. tinneketin16 May 2011, 21:29 GMT +02:00
