My cloud picture was used in a contest: http://www.pxleyes.com/photoshop-picture/4b798cf74ce62/Games-People-Play.htm

There is a credit but the url was forgotten and could not be added anymore since the contest was closed. There is however a source link to the file on the bottom of the page to RGBStock.com. Every little bit helps ;-)

If you have files used or work to show please drop them here. I would love to see it!

English. Okay, so I'm pronouncing your name correctly. That's good. Names are funny things. Very few have direct equivalents in other languages, and many sound like bad words in certain languages. Many years ago I was working as a counsellor and I had to call in a woman with an Asian surname that sounded dreadful in English. I was so embarrassed, and I couldn't bring myself to do it (she was in a waiting room full of people). So I walked up to her and showed her the card and asked if that was her. The worst thing was that I think she knew why I had done it. There was that look of realisation on her face. If I ever lived in a country where my name sounded like a bad word, I would definitely change it - at least for the time I was there.

Dez, names are funny things indeed. My wife is born in Asia and has an unspeakable sirename. At least in the Netherlands. It is not a bad word but it is only complicated to pronounce. And she is terribly fed up with it :(

Great link, Jay!

And on the subject of names, I know several folk from Lithuania and they have the most wonderful names, at least to English ears. How delightful to be called Rimantas, or Arunas, or Jurate!

My real name is a one of. There is no-one else on the planet with my name. (Believe me, I have Googled it a lot. And it's not nice or ethnic, so it is highly unlikely to be used again.) And it's hard to pronounce from the way it's spelled. So I shorten it to "Dez". Also, it's hard to maintain any anonymity if you are one of a kind. When I was at school, it was hell. I had some teachers who took great pleasure in mispronouncing it. I have always wished I was called something very ordinary like "Anne" or "Sue". So even amongst my fellow countrymen, I'm the odd one out.

Wow. This is the shortest time between me uploading an image and becoming aware that it has been used online. The girl who used it emailed me. I only uploaded it late last night and it's fairly early in the morning now. She's put a link to my gallery, too.

My shot of an autumn hillside used in a photo manipulation tutorial at http://www.photoshoptutorials.ws/photoshop-tutorials/photo-manipulation/create-fantasy-photo-manipulation-valkyrie/ I wasn't aware that the author of the manipulation had chosen my image, so was a bit stunned suddenly to find more than 60 downloads of the image from RGB Stock!

Always nice to find that happening. And many of our images are useful for backgrounds. I have been surprised to find people using a corner of one of mine, or another portion, but it looks good in the end result. Nice one, Kevin!

From today's mail box :)

Hi RGB team! My husband and I have been very happy with your site and have made use of many of the free photos available for our blogs. Today I published a post advertising your site and you can check it out at:

Good one :-)

642. xymonau22 August 2014, 0:09 GMT +02:00

Gesine, your image looks great!

Nice of her to post about us, Cris.

This is an unrecognisable edit of one of mine. The man asked permission and then informed me and sent the link. http://helpfulcreative.com/helpful/2014/8/21/crescent
The original: http://www.rgbstock.com/bigphoto/mM1QPvM

As I said - it's unrecognisable, but it's always interesting to see how they are used.

Your moon is on a classic Dez! You should be proud just knowing it's there :)
