Well, it had to be done, didn't it? And since this is both the first and last post, I have won. Thank you all.

2330. xymonau3 March 2011, 12:18 GMT +01:00

It's almost my bedtime. Wierd planet we live on, hey? Computers have brought a lot of people together who would never have met otherwise.

2331. krayker3 March 2011, 13:51 GMT +01:00

only to lose, sadly. muhahahaha.

2332. gesinek3 March 2011, 17:54 GMT +01:00

I wish you good nice new morning when you wake up Dez and Kray. I win when you sleep.

2333. krayker3 March 2011, 20:28 GMT +01:00

2336. micromoth4 March 2011, 19:52 GMT +01:00

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening. I win!

2337. Groningen5 March 2011, 0:26 GMT +01:00

No Minnie

I am the winner

2338. krayker5 March 2011, 5:16 GMT +01:00

@2336, that's a good one!

...but, not good enough to win! :)

2339. xymonau5 March 2011, 9:37 GMT +01:00

Kray is always defending me, arguing that I'm the winner. Good lad, Kray.

2340. krayker5 March 2011, 11:33 GMT +01:00

yeah. all in defense again! :P

2341. xymonau5 March 2011, 12:00 GMT +01:00

Don't stick your tongue out. It's rude.

2342. micromoth5 March 2011, 15:52 GMT +01:00

Especially when you don't know where it's been!
:)

2343. krayker5 March 2011, 17:34 GMT +01:00

I'll remember that, apparently I picked that while on chat. always thought it was done in jest.

but hey, I won!

2344. Groningen5 March 2011, 18:37 GMT +01:00

the P smilie never worries me
would be different if someone posts a photo of his/her tongue sticking out

*shudders*

2345. micromoth5 March 2011, 18:45 GMT +01:00

Oh-oh. I fear someone will treat that as a challenge to rise to.

2346. xymonau6 March 2011, 1:31 GMT +01:00

Kray, I have so little to camplain about with you - you being a gentleman and all - that I am merely nit-picking. You may hang your tongue out permanently - like a hound dog - for all I care. You is a gennleman an' a skoller.

Unlike OTHER PERSONS of the losing persuasion.

2347. Groningen6 March 2011, 4:24 GMT +01:00

that excludes me

cause I is a winner

2348. xymonau6 March 2011, 6:38 GMT +01:00

Oh, my aching sides! *slaps knee* Ah, that's the funniest thing I heard all day. But you posted it in the wrong topic, Grunn. The Jokes topic is somewhere else. Ah! *wipes tears of mirth from eyes and walks away, shaking head*

2349. krayker6 March 2011, 7:58 GMT +01:00

I googled a bit, apparently it does seem to be a bit annoying to a lot of people. I do feel that a homogeneous culture for the entire world is a bad idea. the whole idea about learning different cultures is lost - may it be in the language, lifestyle, humor etc. I don't mind being corrected too - you know, that's how you learn, trip and get back on track.

but then there are people who don't really care. that's good too, can't be a conformist forever - the whole point of being unique is lost.

like this last post, gaining lost ground while xplaining something :D
..bye guys, you don't have any hope, go home, start another thread!

2350. micromoth6 March 2011, 8:24 GMT +01:00

There's always hope.

2351. xymonau6 March 2011, 8:26 GMT +01:00

Kray - I was joking. Seriously - joking. Nothing more. I find the use of typed icons very expressive, and I use the same symbols as everyone else.

However, I absolutely agree that we should keep our cultures (not sure white Australians have any). You can find McDonalds in every nook and cranny on the globe these days. Used to be that travel was exciting and a challenge. Now it's full of shopping malls all based on the same pattern. Maintaining the sovereignty of nations protects against worldwide totalitarian control, too. God help us all if countries unite under a common law and currency. The dark ages were named that because a religio-political violent state ruled the then-known world, with millions of murders of innocent people for racial and religious differences. We have already taken too many steps returning to that state of existence, and I believe it will happen all over again. Just a few more fake "terrorist" attacks, and people will be so afraid they'll happily vote for Big Brother. America is giving up her Republic for cheap democracy (and I'm not talking politics here), so the mob will rule there as well. I don't want democracy here. I want a republic, so that all citizens have equal protection. Then I want to travel to India and find a country where I don't recognise anything, and I'm transported into another world. And pigs might fly, too. *sigh*

Oh, yeah, I win.

2352. krayker6 March 2011, 9:41 GMT +01:00

I agree, but not with the winning part. 'cos I'm no slacker!

2353. xymonau6 March 2011, 9:56 GMT +01:00

Oh, you're a most diligent loser, I promise.
