I quit using it when the FBI found my profile.

I had been on the lam for so many years! :)

They are working on an alternative:

They actually collected US $10.000 within 12 days, so they could work on it.

I quit. I wasn't happy about joining in the first place. And it really, really isn't my sort of thing anyway.

Anyone know about this new Google SSL Beta that appeared yesterday?

This looks like Google's way of avoiding the privacy woes that Facebook has incurred.

I don't use my real name on facebook, which is possible bad etiquette, but I use it for rgbstock only.

I like it, and use it for my business, so I can't quit. My personal info is private though. I don't put anything up that could be used against me.

I use it too, as long as you aint a plonka and add people you dont know everythings rosie!!!

I never joined Facebook in the first place. I had concerns right from the start about privacy issues. It gives me no satisfaction whatsoever to be proved right.

social networks can be a big waste of time if not used effectively. I still believe in old world blogs or forums like ours :)

I am not a great fan of Facebook, my info there is private, and my list of friends is under 50, however I came across this interesting presentation, it becomes more and more interesting as it goes on...

Did you guys see this

If Facebook were a country, it would be the 3rd largest in the world in terms of population

BTW, on RGB profile

Among 150 profile users I have 67 friends! And only several of them I know from here or sxc. Amazing :-).

I reopened my account by signing back in again.

You can now opt out from receiving an e-mail every time you make a comment on something then someone comments on it too. That was my main gripe.

My second gripe is you are never certain who is reading your posts. Maybe they fixed that too. I'll try it again for a while.

I recently reactivated my account too. Didn't do a lot with FB and probably won't in the near future :-)... but think it's a need to have thing :-)

I'm not so sure I have to to have it, actually probably the opposite:
