I just found one of my images being used to promote a product on Smashing Magazine. It looked familiar, but I had to check it was mine. Okay, it wasn't downloaded from here - but it can be now! I was surprised at how good it looked. Here;s the link:

(This is from the site itself, not Smashing Magazine.)
And here is the original:

I feel really pleased with this. Just had to carry on about it. :)
There are other images from people we know on there as well.
Your photo looks fabulous for their demonstration screenshot!
I see Steve's daisy there as well and the others look very familiar along the bottom but so small it is too hard to tell.
Well done Dez!. I spotted Matchie's Lime Splash and there are definately others we know the provenance of.
nice one! that image deserves to be there!
With our fresh re-reviewed database they will find our files very soon too ;-)
Very nice Dez. Congratulations.
It's also a very beautiful image Dez !!! ;o)
Well done !
Thanks for all your nice comments. :)
Very beautiful image, Dez. Congratulations!
Now my turn :)
One of my photo downloaded from SXC (now it's here: http://www.rgbstock.com/image/mf915Bg) was used as an Australian educational magazine 'Professional Educator' cover. They even sent me a copy of this magazine http://www.fabrykaslow.eu/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/okladka4.jpg, together with a nice letter http://www.fabrykaslow.eu/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/okladka3.jpg
Another photo taken by me, downloaded from morgueFile has been used as a cover of book 'Pragmatism, Education, and Children.' published in the Netherlands http://www.rodopi.nl/frameset/nt/rightside.asp?BookId=VIBS 192&type=new
I received this book from the publisher too.
Well, now proper links. I hope :)

Hm. it seems that the link to your file is not working properly. It links back to the home page.
Still this is exactly why we are so fond of free sharing. The responses and feedback of downloaders make it all worth while.
Congratulations!

The book won an award. The author is a professor at Stanford University. We became friends through emails.
Well done, Macie and Cris!! Your image is perfect for that kind of magazine, Macie. And I think yours is perfect for the title, too, Cris.
I think this thread could keep going, with people showing where and how their images have been used. It gives downloaders an idea of the high quality of our free stock. But only images that are displayed at RGB.
@14 - yeah< i have received many emails, and I keep getting requests every now and then from the publishers - mostly NGOs and small organizations - which at the end of my day, makes my day!
Looks great Dez! ;)
Thanks, Nathan!
We should make a book cover topic on it's own!
Here is mine: http://www.dizzie.nl/b_28320_Hey--met-mij.php
Remember my front page file at sxc? It is my daughter and she got a physical copy of the book send. It's a story about the live of a teenager.....
I haven't put the file back up at RGBStock because I wasn't happy with the masking job. When I find the time i'll re-edit the file and post it in my gallery.
Dez, I think he is Maciek, not Macie ;). Macie is a plural form of a not very nice word in Poland :P.
My yellow Syrena cars from SXC (http://www.sxc.hu/photo/1055874) has been used in a folder promoting car fairs in Delhi (http://www.bollywood.pun.pl/viewtopic.php?pid=176490#p176490). And Polish journalist were surprised seeing old Syrena in that brochure. There was even a news in TV about it!
Nice one, Michal :)
And yes, Maciek is better. But I don't mind, I know my name could be quite difficult for non-Polish person. I've got plenty names here, in Scotland :)
Oops! Sorry, maciek! And thanks for pointing that out, Michal. The poster looks great!
