Last One To Post on RGBstock Wins

1. xymonau12 January 2010, 22:53 GMT +00:00

Well, it had to be done, didn't it? And since this is both the first and last post, I have won. Thank you all.

2162. xymonau12 February 2011, 15:08 GMT +01:00

No, he's definitely with Gesine. I am paying her to babysit until I have trounced you all. It won't cost me much, as it won't take long. As for you being last, you were mis-cast. I sacked the director.

2163. Groningen13 February 2011, 18:53 GMT +01:00

February is a dreadful month and I'm broke
so I could really use the prize money
since you are all decent people with gentle hearts
you will gove the Prize to me

2164. micromoth13 February 2011, 23:34 GMT +01:00

@2162 Me mis-cast? I'm afraid you're mis-taken.
@2163 I agree - February is a dreadful month, and I'm broke too, so I know you'll empathize with my decision to keep the prize.
:)

2165. xymonau14 February 2011, 2:48 GMT +01:00

Keep? Why thank you. I had no idea how I was going to afford his upkeep. You may keep him, and he will stay with me, since I am the winner. Just in case you think I mean something else, here is the definition I am referring to: Keep 9
Definition: To supply with necessaries of life; to entertain; as, to keep boarders.

Gron, I'm sure all the decent people reading your sad tale are very sympathetic. I hope they help.

2166. Groningen14 February 2011, 5:31 GMT +01:00

@2165: it's Grunn not Gron

;-)

Happy Valentines

2167. xymonau14 February 2011, 8:10 GMT +01:00

But I don't remember Grunn. I'm old.

And a happy Valentine's Day to you, too. It was never celbrated here when I was a child. Probably in the 70s the card companies decided this wasn't good enough. And it was still pretty much a non-event until the internet took over the world. Same with Halloween. Never celebrated, ever, until the internet.

Anyway, Hallmark can not take my prize from me. That is the one thing that is certain in this life.

2168. gesinek14 February 2011, 10:17 GMT +01:00

Yes, happy Valentine's Day to all. We call it here by joking, day of the florists. And I got a flower bouquet from prize with a card saying it'll come back to me.

2169. krayker14 February 2011, 11:52 GMT +01:00

Happy hallmark holiday! :)
@ 2167 & 68 ... yeah something to that same effect. I don't remember celebrating half of these new celebrations... the card companies, florists and the merchants conspired :P

2170. micromoth14 February 2011, 14:54 GMT +01:00

I agree - it seems like every public holiday and notable occasion has become an opportunity for the card companies to push their merchandise. That's why I started making my own cards from my own photos, just using Photoshop Elements and Serif's PagePlus. Given that the cost of a high quality card in shops in London can be £4, or even more, I'm saving a fortune. I'm sure many RGB-ers do the same.
It's just as well that the prize has come back to me - and I'm delighted to hear that he is hallmarked. I assume 22 carat gold?
:)

2171. xymonau14 February 2011, 14:57 GMT +01:00

No, that's a cattle brand, so no-one can rustle him from his rightful owner - me. And why are you looking at his rump, anyway?

2172. micromoth14 February 2011, 16:05 GMT +01:00

That's not a cattle brand - it's the marks of a pointy stick. For shame! And how could you let him get so dry that he rustles? No, he'll stay with me; I know how to treat him kindly.

2173. Groningen14 February 2011, 17:27 GMT +01:00

tomorrow the prophet Mohamed celebrates his birthday
have any of you seen a card to commemorate that?

2174. krayker14 February 2011, 18:06 GMT +01:00

I've been using photos from RGB or my own ones mostly for new year cards or other occasions since a few years now! nothing like some shameless self promotion :P
...even if it means winning this thread :D

* takes a bow ...*

2175. micromoth14 February 2011, 23:09 GMT +01:00

Well done Kray!
Er... what was that about winning this thread?

2176. xymonau15 February 2011, 0:46 GMT +01:00

He was referring to me. He knows I am the rightful winner. Re the brand - don't you brand your things with pointy sticks in the podes? Odd folk, you is.

Mohammed would have pronounced me the winner if he was alive.

2177. Groningen15 February 2011, 1:48 GMT +01:00

and M. would teach you that it is important to share your good fortune with those in need

meaning me

2178. xymonau15 February 2011, 2:19 GMT +01:00

If I had a fortune, and it was good, I would share it with you. The millyun dollers prize munny will be yours the very moment you let me win.

2179. krayker15 February 2011, 6:05 GMT +01:00

I'd sure let you win, if only my message to let you win would'nt hinder your winning :P

2180. xymonau15 February 2011, 6:44 GMT +01:00

And thereby, Kray ends his lesson in the Greek language. It took me just a few moments to understand your point, Kray, and I took that point, sharpened it, and stuck it on a stick. Thank you so much. Perhaps you can email me your official resignation from the game, and hey presto! - no hindrance!

2181. krayker15 February 2011, 7:04 GMT +01:00

:P

2182. gesinek15 February 2011, 8:52 GMT +01:00

There he is again: The gentleman - who enjoys and remains silent.
But now the prize is with me :)

2183. krayker15 February 2011, 9:10 GMT +01:00

yeah - that's a nice one, everyone can share the spoils, one post at a time!
see, world peace is so easy.

2184. gesinek15 February 2011, 9:22 GMT +01:00

Worlds peace could be easy, but this is a competition, so - go for gold!

2185. krayker15 February 2011, 10:16 GMT +01:00

gold it is :)
